AV-Labor (Workshop Blender)
This time: Blender with Anna-Lena Erhard (workshop in German)
Blender is free, open-source 3D software for creating models and animations. In this introduction, you’ll learn the basic functions of Blender—from navigating in 3D space to modeling simple objects, creating basic animations of physical properties, and texturing and lighting the 3D scene, all the way to your first steps in rendering.
Please bring: A laptop (for Blender, we recommend a modern laptop with sufficient processing power, at least 16 GB of RAM, a high-performance graphics card, and SSD storage) with Blender installed (download here), as well as an external mouse.
The AV Lab is an open, experimental workshop series at ZiMMT that explores audiovisual techniques at the intersection of media art, music, and technology—from AI and video mapping to 3D audio and creative coding. The workshops combine thematic introductions with hands-on experimentation, discussion, and collaborative learning, and are open to anyone interested; no prior knowledge is required.
