Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, Protestkultur und Widerstandshandlungen zu verkörpern. Unser Kollektiv der Utopischen Tafel hilft diese Stimmen zu verstärken und laufende Diskussionen über soziale, kulturelle und politische Themen außerhalb des Leipziger Stadtzentrums zu eröffnen.

Das statt-Lichtfest am 9. Oktober ist ein Fest der Protestkultur und ihrer vielen Erscheinungsformen – sei es durch Fotografie, Journalismus, Musik, Demonstrationen oder Sozialarbeit.

Diese Veranstaltungen finden im Rahmen des Themenjahres 2021 "Leipzig – Stadt der sozialen Bewegungen"
und des OSTLichter Stadtteilkulturfestivals statt und werden gefördert durch die Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen.

Die Utopische Tafel ist ein organisiertes Kollektiv von Künstler:innen, Schriftsteller:innen, Aktivist:innen, Journalist:innen, Musiker:innen und Kreativen mit internationalem Hintergrund. Was uns verbindet, ist unser kollektives Interesse an Protestkultur und Strategien zur Schaffung gesamtstädtischer, regionaler und internationaler Allianzen im Bezug auf zeitgenössische Erinnerungskulturen.

Utopische Tafeln are preparing for the festival of lights on October 9, 2021. The utopian table is both an open space for creativity and a place to celebrate. It is a catalyst to get to know local and global neighbors and potential partners and to exchange ideas.

The statt-Lichtfest on October 9th is a celebration of active and powerful protest culture, and its many manifestations - be it through photography, journalism, music, demonstrations or social work.

There are many ways to embody protest culture and acts of resistance, and our collective Utopische Tafel seeks to amplify these voices and facilitate ongoing discussions about social, cultural and political issues and history outside of Leipzig city center.

Funded by the Cultural Office of the City of Leipzig in the theme year 2021 "Leipzig - City of Social Movements" and by the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony.

The Utopische Tafel is both an open space for creativity and a site for celebration. It is a catalyst for getting to know neighbors and potential partners, both local and global. Everyone contributes ideas, experiences and developing projects to the table with the purpose of connection and exchange. A shared meal, game or activity invites all to playfully and mindfully interact.
